Who
The term "milkbaby" originally started as a nickname given to Cat Thordarson, the founder and designer of milkbaby bikini. The term referred to a healthy girl who looked like she "drank her milk", which inspired her to use the name and create milkbaby bikini.
From the beginning, Cat has been MilkBaby's designer, pattern maker and manufacturer, while growing the brand with a grassroots approach. Her designs for MilkBaby Bikini have been featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011-2019 and 2023, which continues to challenge and push her as a designer as she creates new styles for the editors of the magazine.
