Alaska is closer than ever

After all of the wildlife encounters of the previous day, it would be hard to beat a day like that but I was confident that the Canadian Rockies would not disappoint.

Once we were through Alberta, the scenery gradually became more mountainous and dramatic…and snowier!

When we arrived to Whitehorse in Yukon Territory, we had driven a total of 46 hours and we still weren’t in Alaska…but we were closer than ever!

The drive from Whitehorse to Skagway was surprisingly fast and amazingly beautiful!

I can’t describe how awesome it felt to finally reach Skagway and get on the ferry to Juneau!

Eight hours later…WE’RE IN JUNEAU!!!! Happy does not describe how I feel to finally arrive and see the view that our apartment has :)
